The feminine thirties brought us modest blouses tailored with cute puff sleeves, pointed high collars, adorable buttons, and pretty patterns of floral, polka dots and solid pastels. Long sleeve 1930s blouses had full arms, wide wristbands and a soft bow tie at the neck. Many blouses had layers of ruffles on the front, large puff sleeves, and a matching belt to accentuate the waist. The later 30s blouse or button down shirts often had collars, some matching, some contrasting materials. They all fit very snug at the waist. Casual knit tops were popular casual clothing as silk bell sleeve evening blouses made separates a new formal trend. Thanks to the Art Deco movement all 1930s blouses were streamlined yet ornate with the trim.
